About The J.T. Horns

The members of the J.T. Horns are integral to the production of several bay area bands. An important asset of our musicians is their commitment to quality and client satisfaction. The members of the J.T. Horns share an attitude of service to the client. We make every effort, both musically and professionally, to ensure that the client is glad to have hired the J.T. Horns. We take pride not only in our musicianship, but also in our professional attitude and demeanor.

The J.T. Horns

The J.T. Horns is a powerhouse funk, soul, and R&B band. The band is composed of three vocalists, a five-piece  rhythm section, and the heart of our band, a powerful five-piece horn section. We can be heard playing the music of Tower of Power, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, James Brown, and many others. Our repertoire currently consists of over 200 songs, with a set list that is easily tailored to a client's requests, and we can also incorporate new songs if they happen to not be on the list.  Be sure to check out our songlist. The band members are professional musicians from the local Jazz community. We are extremely flexible in our repertoire, and are ready to perform many Jazz and vocal standards, as well as “small big band” selections.

The Gigantic J.T.H. Rock-n-Roll Revue

Much like the J.T. Horns, but playing Rock-n-Roll favorites from the last half century.   During some of that period the band has appeared under the pseudonyms: "Colossal Funkenstien", "Stiff Chipmonk Soul Review", and "Conseula Beauregard & the Party Goats", to name but a few. Latin Funk Express

Latin Funk Express was born of the desire for an outlet with no creative limitations. The group is comprised of professional bay area musicians who spend many hours a week playing in big bands, rock bands, and pit orchestras. While this type of playing can be very rewarding in it's own way, by necessity it is very structured, and therefore leaves little room for musical exploration. Latin Funk Express can be heard playing, funk classics, Latin favorites, and Jazz standards but always with a funky Latin groove.

18 Piece Big Band

Full 18 piece big band: 5 saxes, 4 trombones, 4 trumpets, rhythm section, and vocalist. Performing dance music, as well as concert big band music.

Jazz Combo

A Jazz combo, with flexible  instrumentation and repertoire to meet the needs of any gathering or event.
